It’s something of a cliché that fashion is often referred to
as something dreamy. If so then Morris is the figment of Jan Alsén’s
dreams, but even more of his passion for clothing and not the least, his
life.
Like seeing Gunther Sachs and Brigitte Bardot at Club 55
when St Tropez and Bardot for that matter were still innocently naïve or
nearly so. Like being young and visiting New York for the very first
time to buy a button-down shirt at Brooks Brothers and a pair of brogues
at Aldens. To stop by Daniel Cremieux at Madeleines to find the
perfect, but oh so dear, cashmere coat and later to sit at the Brasserie
Lipp with a glass of wine and ponder why no one but the Parisians can
sport a scarf so elegantly nonchalant. All this and a thousand more
encounters, places, thoughts and impressions – that’s Morris.
